The Women Leadership Academy is part of the FIDA-Kenya’s Vote-A-Dada campaign that is supported by Womankind Worldwide AWESOME Programme through the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is co-funded by the FORD Foundation. The Campaign seeks to increase public discourse on the role of women and persons with disabilities in political leadership and contribute to increasing the number of women elected in the six elective positions in the 2022 general elections.
The recently launched Vote-A-Dada campaign hopes to integrate the intersectional participation for women in the country to demand action from the State, the Legislature, and all other governance institutions in promoting women’s leadership. This will be a National capacity-building forum for female political aspirants seeking elective positions during the 2022 General Elections.
